It would have been even better if there was a bed and a kettle. It was in a shopping district and a little hard to find, but the service was great. The stairs were steep and difficult to go up and down. The nearby public bath, takoyaki shop, croquette shop, and Kintaro bakery were all great.

I really cannot express how much I enjoyed my stay at Sekai, it truly is like no other hostel, and I’ve stayed in many. Both the cheapest accommodation I found in Japan, and my favourite - at the heart of what makes this place so special is the staff and owners passion for the Fuse area, helping you to escape the touristy vibe you get in a lot of areas of Japan and make you feel that you are really getting to experience how the locals live, although it is also ideally located to visit the other more well known tourist destinations. I enjoyed my stay so much that I stayed for over a month, returning after trying out other accommodation when they were fully booked, and convinced other travellers I had met elsewhere in Japan to come and stay here (who enjoyed the experience as much as I did). I am currently making plans to return (along with the other guests I stayed with) for the next Danjiri, a local festival I would also highly recommend. I cannot thank Yuki & the rest of the staff at Sekei for a truly unforgettable experience, and I would extend that to the local residents of Fuse too, who were unbelievably warm and welcoming. Hopefully, I will see you all again soon!

The town of Fuse was attractive. I'd like to enjoy breakfast next time. However, the dormitory I stayed in seems to be different from the private rooms. The price is cheap, but there is almost no common space (only two seats). The toilet, shower, and washroom facilities are clean and sufficient, but there is no place to eat or organize your luggage. It is possible to do it in the dormitory, but it is only a place to sleep and the four-bedroom room is quiet, so you can't make any noise or smell. Of course, there is no kettle or microwave. So, it's enough if you just want to sleep (there was a futon), but since I'm traveling, not being able to do what I need in the common areas was more difficult than sharing a room.
