Save time defrosting frozen ingredients. Power Defrost lets you choose from 4 popular food types: meat, poultry, fish, bread/cake. Enter the type and weight of food and it calculates the general defrosting time and power*. So you can prepare ingredients quickly** and preserve nutrients.

Ceramic Enamel Interior

Clean up after cooking easily. The Ceramic Enamel Interior can be cleaned without scrubbing and won’t discolor*. Hohenstein confirms that the product “enamel of microwave oven” shows an antibacterial activity of 99.9%**. And it’s about 24x more scratch resistant than stainless steel***.

Chemicals: (a) Acid resistance: 15 minutes in a citronic acid solution. (b) Alkali resistance: 15 minutes in an anhydrous sodium carbonate solution. Triple Distribution System (TDS)

Make sure that everything you cook, from pizza to warm milk, is properly prepared*. The Triple Distribution System** distributes microwaves in 3 directions, so they reach into every corner and penetrate food in multiple directions. It ensures that everything is cooked thoroughly and evenly.

Auto Cook

Cook delicious dishes without guesswork. Auto Cook has a choice of options for 15 frequently cooked dishes, like poultry, pasta, fish and vegetables. Each is pre-programmed with the appropriate mode, time and temperature. Simply select the type and weight of food and follow the instructions*.

Less standby energy

ECO Mode

Home appliances that stay powered on every day waste a certain amount of power without you noticing. However, the Standby Mode can reduce this unnecessary energy consumption*. When you are not cooking, it turns off the microwave oven’s display and uses the minimum power to keep it ready to use.

* Based on internal testing of the MW5500 model in Standby Mode. Test method: Input power = 230V. Stabilize it in the indoor conditions and measure the power consumption for 30 minutes to calculate the 1st average power consumption in Standby Mode. After 30 minutes, use the same procedure and calculate the 2nd average power consumption in Standby Mode. Determine the final power consumption by calculating the average of the 1st and 2nd measured values. Test result: Normal mode = 0.60W (variable). Standby Mode = 0.35W.
