If you are looking for quiet, fresh air, a lot of space, beautiful views, good food, quality sleep,then this is your must pick up resort. The location is up at the hill at Prambanan area. It is just five minutes drive from Brambanan local train station or about 45 minutes from Yokjakarta Train Station. Compare to the other competitor (Amaranta Hotel), I prefer Sumberwatu as there are more free space to move around including one of the oldest stupa was inside the resort. The resorts only have 20 rooms, and the rooms are excellent. Minibar are free, breakfast are included in Abhayagiri restaurant. If you booked premium rooms there are free afternoon tea and snack at 4 PM. The resort’s swimming pool is located near Abhayagiri restaurant. The restaurant is five stars with excellent Indonesia and international cuisine. The bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom is huge with bathtub. The terrace outside the room is nice to enjoy the afternoon or just relax to read your favorite books. Surrounding the resorts is local village with very nice people. There are three restaurants nearby the resort, just walk outside the resort and turn right you will find those restaurants,and be reminded that all those restaurants close at 8 PM in order to protect local people from noisy tourists. Walking distance to the ruin of Dawangsari Temple, the huge Hindus Candi Barong and Candi Hijo. A small minimarket is just three minutes walk from resort,just in case you need something during the stay. The view from the resort is jaw dropping, you can see the gigantic Merapi Volcano, the great Prambanan Temple. Overall, this is the best resort to stay in the quiet night and fresh cool air at Yogjakarta. Come and experience it,you won’t wantbto leave after that.

Me and my couz just spent the night here cause we were on a short weekend trip to watch a concert near prambanan. The hotel is far from citi center but near to prambanan temples. It is situated uphill and after 10pm no food was served but we were able to buy food via grab apps. The restaurant for breakfast has a nice view. The room is decent and nice, bathroom is spacious and everything in the room like several water bottles, snacks, fruits, and whatever in the fridge is free. It was a simple but decent hotel, i sat on the patio/ balcony for sometime and it was nice

The first time you enter the hotel, it feels like you are entering a comfortable rural atmosphere. The beautiful view of Mount Merapi and the Prambanan temple makes it even more extraordinary. The food served is delicious, and the room where we stayed was comfortable and clean. I wish I could stay here longer

We had a wedding at Sumberwatu; a wonderful romantic location near Yogya. Instructions were simple: 10.00 AM Ceremony 10.30 AM Give some drinks and snacks to the invitees, while the bride and groom have a photoshoot. 11.30 AM Opening of the buffet by bride and groom After we came back from the photoshoot, to our biggest surprise, people where finishing their dessert and staff pushed us a bucked of ... melted ice cream? We did not understand. After that we wanted to open the buffet, but everything was already cold. What happened? Well, somebody decided to open the buffet at 10.30 AM, without bride and groom. Asking around, the food was excellent. But bride and groom had to settle for some microwave heated food after dessert at their own wedding. Could easily rate for a five star only if instruction were simply followed.

The hotel is not far from the temple site at Prambanan. A hotel away from the crowds and very comfortable. Finally we got to Sumberwatu Heritage, the food and drinks that were served were very tasty, and also the staff who were so friendly made our vacation feel complete. Thank you
