REVIEW AFTER 2 YEARS OF USE:

I bought the Oral-B Genius toothbrush because I was in the market for a new brush and this had some pretty cool features. I have to say, I didn't realize how ineffective my normal toothbrush was until I bought an electronic toothbrush.

This toothbrush is cute/stylish (I got the rose gold one), comes with a very cute travel charging case and a regular charging stand, comes with different brush heads that you can try to decide what works best for you. The brush has SO many different settings depending on what you like best or what your dental health goals are. This cleans SO WELL and leaves teeth completely smooth without anything left behind.

My FAVORITE feature is the app! It tells you if you are effectively brushing every surface of your teeth! The brush also has a little ring of light that will turn red if you're brushing too hard (didn't realize until I got this brush that I DEFINITELY brush too hard!) And there is a timer so you know how long to brush each part of your mouth.

Overall, if you are in the market for an electric toothbrush, I HIGHLY recommend this one! I have always been cavity prone and my gums are edging their way towards gingivitis. Every dentist visit came with bad news until I bought this one! I have not had a cavity since, and my gums are more healthy.

Leí algunos reviews y me negaba a creer que ORAL-B fuera tan irresponsable... Pero lo es, el paquete SÍ llega abierto. De igual manera leí que era súper difícil ajustar las funcionalidades del cepillo, hasta ahora no he tenido ningún problema, sin embargo, esto se deriva de mi única recomendación: LEE EL MANUAL (son como cuatro páginas), creo que vale la pena porque te dan recomendaciones que no te pasarán jamás por la cabeza.

Yo compré el Rose Gold y puff... vale la pena, la calidad se nota. A excepción de que el paquete ya viene abierto y no es como que te cueste mil pesos el producto (de menos que le inviertan en protección), y que la aplicación no es maravillosa en cuanto a la sincronización con el cepillado, me parece un buen producto; el sensor de presión funciona increíble... Yo le bajaría uno 500 pesos al precio tan sólo por estas inconsistencias.

I bought the three past top toothbrush from Oral-B over the years (for the whole family), and this one deliver the same quality that you expect from this big brand.

As it is with each new model, the battery life last longer than the past ones, but the brushing still feels the same. Oral-B is trying hard to bring new techs into the toothbrushing world, but in the end, it's still kind of useless. I'm talking about 6 brushing modes, camera brushing, etc.

Some useful techs are the pressure sensor, which light up red when you are brushing too hard on you teeth & gums, the timer which vibrate each time to tell you to switch quadrant + long vibration when the 2 minutes is up to prevent over-brushing and the log that you sync with yours smartphones to get some useful stats

All the techs that I like are on the 1000 model, except the bluetooth synching, but this one got twice the battery life + more oscillation/rotation/pulsation (although I'm not sure most would feel the difference).

My oldest toothbrush (3-4 years of use) still got ~10 days of battery life from the initial 14 which is great considering the lithium battery tech we had back then. The 2 others still hold their 14 days charge (2 years old + 1 year old)

Pros

+ Great battery life (14 days)
+ long term investment
+ Good for couple. You get multiple heads for the toothbrush, so you can have you own head, and share the toothbrush.
+ Nice travel case

Cons
- Quite pricy, considering the small benefits from the 8000 over the cheaper Oral-B toothbrushes
- Some techs are useless

I'd recommend this toothbrush to anyone looking for a long term investment and professionnal brushing experience

I liked my previous Oral-B too and it lasted for a long time but I think the battery finally was not producing enough cleaning power....

This one has lithium-ion battery and good programs for different kinds of cleaning and a clear menu for selecting them. Good product, cleans well.
